One of the joys in my old age (I am 80 yo) is sailing the oceans in virtual reality.
Marineverse Sailing Club (www.marinevese.com) is an international club with both regular inshore racing but also global cruising and racing.
The photo is of my boat in the North Pacific Ocean on the way from Anchorage to San Francisco. Fortunately we have satellite internet on board which helps with navigation :).
This is the 8th leg of an ocean race that has taken us from Capetown to Rio di Janeiro, Sydney, Fremantle, Darwin, Singapore, Tokyo and Anchorage covering a distance of some 23,000 nuatical miles over the past 9 months. If you have a Quest 3 headset, or Steam on your computer, or even a smart phone - Android or iPhone - you can join in this amazing racing.
